Whilst playing Fallout: New Vegas today I had the urge to doodle Cass/Rose of Sharon Cassidy (as an animal of course, I suck at drawing people ;)
I really like Cass, she's one of my favourite companions in the game so far. I like how she's tough, somewhat potty-mouthed and always says what she thinks, but has a good heart and her caravan company means a lot to her. I decided to nickname the cat after her perk, Whiskey Rose, which gives your character and Cass a higher damage resistance temporarily when they drink whiskey, which is pretty cool, and also negates any usual negative effects of alcohol. I think drinking with Cass would be pretty fun :D
I love finding new mediums or things to draw cute animals on. I drew these little stickers a while back, most of them are based on characters belonging to friends of mine, and there's a glasses wearing pandalion on the bottom right :D
I coloured them with Letraset Pro-markers (which are awesome-pens!) and I like how they came out ^^
I might do some more in future.. any suggestions for what animals I should draw next time? :)
I just got the categories working on my blog and thought I'd celebrate by adding more to the Art category! I drew this picture about 2 years ago, for a very dear friend of mine. I think this is one of my favourite drawings I've done, but that's probably swayed by the fact that it has 61 favourites on an art site I'm part of o_O
I'm not sure why this picture was so popular - maybe people just like snow, and sleeping animals :D It's one of my more simple pictures, and I think maybe that's what people liked about it. Sometimes you can try too hard with art that it can become stiff and lifeless, and I think this was at least quite natural.
I dunno, art for me is always a fluke and sometimes things happen to turn out well, so maybe I'll draw something else as popular as this picture one day :D
I haven't drawn much in ages, and I haven't drawn anything for my friend Twinklestah in even longer. *sadface* I was looking at her Flickr today and at her adorable pony character Pins, and it inspired me to attempt to draw something for her. I find ponies one of the hardest things to draw, even cutely though, so I made a little anthro Pins enjoying the Wintery season.
Twinklestah is a wonderful artist and friend, and has been a big muse and inspiration to me for years. I don't think I would have ever drawn as much as I did without her support and encouragement. That makes her pretty special to me, and I hope she likes my first attempt at Pins. :)
